OWT: Feet

Today's OWT tests the temperature of my feet.

Pre-pregnancy, I could always shock T by putting my feet on him under the warm covers. They were always like ice! Now, they are still cold, but if anything, they are now warmer.

The OWT says that if your feet get colder, then it means you are having a boy. The same? Girl. I'd say this is a point for girl.

Total: 13 OWT for girl and 5 for boy

OWT: Necklace over head

During today's OWT, I'm going to enlist the Timmy's help again.

The OWT says for you to have someone (this is where T comes in) hold a necklace over your head to see which way it swings (similar to the OWT done here). If it swings back and forth, it means boy. In a circle means girl.

I'm lucky T is such a good sport. He held the necklace over my head and he says it swung in a circle and swung back and forth. Little help was that. But when I tried it to myself (with a mirror), I saw the same thing. It starts with a small circle or two, then starts swinging back and forth. This was a really close one, but I'm going to say it swings back and forth more than a circle. This give an OWT point to boy!

OWT totals: 12 OWT girl and 5 OWT boy

OWT: Hands

Today's OWT deals with looking at my hands. Or rather me showing them.

I read what the instructions for this OWT (but not how to interpret the results) and asked T to ask me to show him my hands. When he did, I showed him my hands palm down. Then I read the results.

The OWT says that if you show your hands palm up, it means baby is a girl. Palm down, boy. Looks like I got another point for boy!

Totals: 12 OWT for girl and 4 OWT for boy

OWT: Bread

Today's OWT is another food related tale about the heels of bread.

I've never liked to eat the heels. I will usually even skip the piece next to the heel. I just don't like it and I still don't. Seriously, who does?

The tale from those old wives says that if you enjoy eating the heel of bread while pregnant, you are going to have a boy. If you prefer the middle, it's a girl. So, in this case, girl it is!

OWT total: 12 OWT for girl and 3 for boy

**How does this OWT have anything to do with baby gender? Seriously.

OWT: Moodiness

Today's OWT will make the Timmy laugh that I am even questioning it. This one deals with moods and their horrible swings.

I am usually a bit of a sassafras, but, since being pregnant, I have been so moody. I seem to go from happy to upset super quickly and I've unfortunately (and uncontrollably) been taking some things too seriously that I normally could let just roll off my back. So between being super moody and being super happy, there's no question that I have been supper moody.

The OWT says that if you are moody, you are having a girl (What are they trying to say about females being moody here, huh?). If you haven't been majorly moody, if happiness has ruled you since becoming pregnant, then a boy is in your belly. This point has to go with the moodiness and team girl.

OWT total= 11 OWT for team girl and 3 for team boy

Boy OWT really need to work hard to catch up!

September 11: 10 years and one month later

On September 11 this year, I posted two lighthearted video, but I didn't forget. I felt the sadness remembering. I just didn't think I could handle all that was shown and typed on that day and come out in one piece emotionally, especially if I delved deep into my memories.

So I didn't.

But I am now, one month later, because we should remember all of the people who've given their lives all the time and not just once a year.

Here are two videos my church showed on 9-11 about where some of our attenders and members were on that day and how it affected them.

I was sitting in my senior English class in high school when somebody came in and told the teacher to turn on the news. She did and we were all watching, in disbelief, when the planes hit the second building. We were all watching, in shock, as people started jumping to their deaths out of the buildings. We were all watching, in tears, as the buildings fell.

And we were all changed.

Where were you?

OWT: Skin under left eye

Today's OWT is one that is not as common. Or at least it wasn't to me before I started this series.

This tale "determines" the baby's gender by you looking into your left eye. If you pull down the bottom eyelid, look into the white of you eye and see a red "V" (or "branches"), then you are having a girl. No V= boy

Ladies and gentlemen, there is a V (indicating girl). I tried taking a picture, but the camera on an i.Phone 3G is not quite the best camera for that job. Side note: If you try this one and you have a poorly lit bathroom, don't  use a bright flashlight directly on your eye to help you see. lol

So the total for the OWT are 10 OWT for girl and 3 for boy

OWT: Cravings

Today's OWT is about my cravings. Are they salty? Are they sweet?

I never really cared for too many sweet things before, but now? I love them. I can't get enough pumpkin food products. Ice cream? Before.... not so much. Now? We've had it for dinner more often than I like to admit. Fruit? Delish! Dunkin Donuts is our breakfast of choice on Sundays that T drums for our church. (Don't worry; we do eat healthier foods as well.)

The OWT says that if you crave salty food, you should expect a boy. Sweets your thing? A little girl is in your future. This is an obvious point for girl.

OWT total: 9 OWT for girl and 3 OWT for boy.
