27

This post is brought to you by little Beth and a lot of pictures of her. Why? Because today is her birthday and she should get what she wants on her birthday. :)

Common mode of transportation. And we wonder why my first word was "Col'Beer"

Fancy Dress
Same dress as the picture before (and year before)

I'm being loud. Does this really surprise anyone?
Yes. I really am Wonder woman.

Before the big bad wolf came.

I think every child of the 80's has a picture like this.

My pants sagged before it was even cool. I'm such a trendsetter.

Little Beth says see ya until next time!

Epic Meal Time

I'm addicted to these videos. Every Tuesday, they post a new one. Some of them are gross. Some are super gross. Most have bad language, which kinda stinks, but these guys are pretty creative. I'm surprised they don't have more health problems, though.

This one is super creative. However, I need an extra shot of insulin just to watch it. Just kidding. Kind of. Watch it and enjoy (just don't watch it hungry).

Cupcakes!

I always thought it was crazy that someone with diabetes (i.e. me) would enjoy baking so much. But, alas, I do. Usually I'll bake when I know I'll be around a crowd of people so I won't have to have too many baked goods at my house.

That's why, when I found a new recipe for lemon cupcakes with lemon frosting, I thought I'd make them for the group of ladies I lead Wednesday nights. Especially since we are meeting tomorrow evening (June 1! What what!).

I used my special pearl shaped sprinkles (June's birthstone, FYI). my favorite cupcake liners (a black and white damask pattern) and the cupcakes are my faaaavvorite color (yellow, if you didn't know). I suppose that may make these special cupcakes. I suppose they are and will be (a day early).

I hope they taste as scrumptious as they look and smell. :)

I like to answer questions.

I got this from Bethany from Me With D, who grabbed it from Karen over at Bitter-Sweet.  Thanks you guys!

T singing along to cheesy music while working out on our squeaky elliptical

If you were a god/goddess what would you be?
I copied Bethany and Karen here as well and went to this quiz to find out (because how the heck else do you answer this question?!).  My result:

You Are the Greek Goddess Demeter

You are an Earth Mother, provider of delicious food and beautiful children. You prefer the company of the young, but you have a decided wanderlust, which makes being tied down lead to periods of depression. You are conscientious, law-abiding, and spiritual.
Does that sound like me? I don't know...

What are your guilty pleasures?
Peanut butter, Stumble Upon tabs on the computer, Free samples in the mail

Who or what makes you laugh?
The crazy man I married

What is the biggest life lesson you’ve learned from your kid(s)?
Since I don't have kids (yet) and the only one I almost had I lost, I would say patience. Trust in God. Appreciation.

What song can’t you get out of your head?
Oh Come all Ye Faithfu; has been stuck in my head tonight. I was even whistling it while I did dishes.

What book do you know you should read but refuse to?
I don't know. I love to read, so I do. Wait. I know. The Beth Moore workbook on Esther. I never seem to open it until the day I should have finished it.

What is your physical abnormality / abnormal physical ability?
Physical abnormality: I am part robot/bionic woman, due to that silly old insulin pump. JK ol' fella. Love you!
Abnormal physical ability:  I used to be uber flexible, almost double jointed. I haven't tried in a while though.

If you had the knowledge of your death

If you could know when and how you were going to die (and not be able to change it), would you want to know?

I wouldn't. I would rather not know and enjoy life up until the last moment. If I knew when it was going to happen, I know myself. I would dwell on it. I would wonder what I could do to change it. I would probably end up getting more and more depressed as my time ticked away knowing that this or that would be the last time I would do that. I would be sad for the people I would be leaving behind.

I would rather not know and continue living life. I would rather try to bring joy to people in my life. I would rather enjoy every moment rather than dwell on what I cannot change: my end. Besides, I know where I will be going after I die and It. Will. Be. Beautiful. :)

If I can see these things while thinking in my car while in traffic, then I should actually act on them. I should enjoy every moment. I should love everyone. I should be thankful for every little thing I have (and realize the things I don't have are just not supposed to be in my life at this point). I should and I will.

What about you?
